Riccardo Minasi/Musica Antiqua Roma- Handel Violin Sonatas CD

Bloğumuzda bu kez George Frideric Handel' in Keman Sonatlarından oluşan bir albüm konumuz. Çağdaş İtalyan keman sanatçısı Riccardo Minasi ve onunda bir parçası olduğu Musica Antiqua Roma grubu Alman Harmania Mundi firmasından çıkan bu albümde Handel'in sonatlarını çok güzel bir performans ile bizlere ulaştırmışlar. Ayrıca CD içinde tüm bu sonatlar ve grup hakkında bilgilerin yer aldığı güzel bir kitapçık sizleri beklemekte.

Sonatlar hakkında:

1700' lerde dokümantasyon konusu günümüzde ki gibi değildi ve o sebeple besteciler ve eserleri hakkında kimi karışıklıklar olması kuvvetle muhtemeldir. Bu sebeple kesin olarak bu keman sonatlarının Handel'e ait olup olmadıklarını bilemiyoruz. Hepsini o yazmış olsa bile, oldukça muhtemeldir ki bunların bazıları burada kullanılan enstrümanlardan farklı enstrümanlar için yazılmıştır. Sanırım müzikologlar için bu büyük bir ders halen kim neyi hangi enstrüman kombinasyonu için yazmış.


Buradaki sonatların bir kısmı sanatçının gençlik yıllarından, kimisi yaşlılık zamanından ve kimilerine bu iki dönemin arasından gelmektedir. D majör sonat ( HGW 371) sanatçının son çalışmaları arasındadır. Diğer yandan, G Majör sonat (HGW 358) ise yirmili yaşlarında oratay çıkan bir çalışmasıdır. Fakat sonuçta tüm sonatlar burada yer alan yüksek müzikalitede ve kulaklarınıza derinden hitap eden eserlerdir.

Riccardo Minasi hakkında:

1978 senesinde Roma’da doğan viyolonist ve orkestra şefi Riccardo Minasi dünyaca ünlü orkestralar ile birlikte sahne aldı. “Musica Antiqua Roma”nın da kurucusu olan Minasi, dünya çapında büyük beğeni toplayan günümüzün en önemli viyolonistlerinden biri.

Virtüöz olarak Le Concert des Nations of Jordi Savall, Accademia Bizantina, Concerto Italiano, Il Giardino Armonico, Al Ayre Español, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid ile çalıştı.Ayrıca  the Concerto Vocale of René Jacobs, Ensemble 415, Luca Pianca, Viktoria Mullova, Albrecht Mayer, Christophe Coin and Reinhard Goebel ile de çalışmalar yaptı.


Şef olarak the Kammerakademie of Potsdam, Zurich Kammerorchester, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Orquesta Barroca Argentina, L'Arpa Festante, Recreation-Grosses Orchester of Graz, Attersee-Akademie Orchestra, ensemble Resonanz, European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO), Il Complesso Barocco and the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra' yı yönetti.


2004 ile 2010 yılları arasında oda müziği profesörü olarak payesiyle Conservatorio V. Bellini of Palermo çalıştı. Ayrıca Amerika'da keman ve barok müzik üzerine dersler vermektedir.


Musica Antiqua Roma hakkında:

2007'de Riccardo Massi tarafından kurulan ekip, solo, oda müziği alanlarında eserler imza atan çağdaş müzisyenler topluluğudur.Grup son yıllarda pek çok festivalde başarı ile sahne almıştır. Repertuarı zengin olan grubun 1500'lü yıllardan 1800'lere uzanan geniş bir kataloğu mevcut.

Our subject for today is an album covers Gearge Frediric Handel's Violin Sonatas. Contemporary violin virtuoso Riccardo Minasi and his group Musica Antiqua Roma are performed all compositions marvelously. Album released by German Harmonia Mundi and CD comes with a detailed booklet about sonatas and musicians.

About Sonatas:

Documentation in the 1700s not being what it is today, matching composers and compositions can be a matter of guesswork. There's no way of knowing whether or not George Frideric Handel really wrote all  of these sonatas. Even if he did, it is quite possible that some of them were written for different instruments than the ones used here. It can be a humbling lesson for musicologists to learn that a great piece of music is still great regardless of who wrote it, and for what combination of instruments.

At any rate, the sonatas included here probably come from Handel's youth, old age, and everything in between. The D-major sonata (HWV 371) is thought to be among the composer's last works. On the other hand, the G-major sonata (HWV 358) is likely to have been written when he was in his twenties. Nevertheless, these sonatas are of a consistently high quality, and ingratiating to both the ear and the intellect.

About Riccardo Minasi: 

Riccardo Minasi, was born in Rome in 1978. He has performed both as soloist as well as concertmaster with Le Concert des Nations of Jordi Savall, Accademia Bizantina, Concerto Italiano, Il Giardino Armonico, Al Ayre Español, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid. He has also worked with the Concerto Vocale of René Jacobs, Ensemble 415, Luca Pianca, Viktoria Mullova, Albrecht Mayer, Christophe Coin and Reinhard Goebel.

As a conductor he conducted the Kammerakademie of Potsdam, Zurich Kammerorchester, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Orquesta Barroca Argentina, L'Arpa Festante, Recreation-Grosses Orchester of Graz, Attersee-Akademie Orchestra, ensemble Resonanz, European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO), Il Complesso Barocco and the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, of which he is the associate director since 2008.

From 2004 to 2010 he was professor of chamber music at the Conservatorio V. Bellini of Palermo. He has also given violin and baroque orchestra master-classes, and lectures in historical practice at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge (USA), at the Sibelius Academy of Helsinki, the Chinese Culture University of Taipei (Taiwan), the Conservatory of Sydney (Australia), the Kùks Residence in the Czech Republic, at the Zurich Opera House, at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, and, as the italian representative of the jury in 2009, at the auditions for the European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO). His recording of Biber’s Rosenkranz Sonaten published by Arts was a finalist at the Midem Classical Award in Cannes as album of the year in 2009. 

About Musica Antiqua Roma: 

Founded in 2007 by violinist Riccardo Minasi, unites the solo, chamber music and orchestral experiences of some of the most active young musicians on the international scene today.

In the few years since the group was conceived, it was already invited to important festivals and concert series such as Bologna Festival, GOG of Genova, Ravenna Festival, Birmingham Early Music Festival, Festival of Utrecht, Auditori of Barcelona, Caixa Madrid, Valencia, Festival de Divonne, Santiago de Compostela, Attersee Festival, Potsdam Sanssouci Festival, Musica e Poesia a S.Maurizio, O Flos Colende from Florence, Bad Kissingen, Festival de Santander, Innsbruck Festival,Teatro de El Escorial, etc…
