No Sweet Man That's Worth The Salt Of My Tears" ve "I'm A Little
parladığı "Here Lies Love","Glad Rag Doll" ve "Let It
İhtiyacınız geleneksel Diana Kral tarzı ise "I Used To Love You But It's
All Over Now" tam size göre.
When I Look Into Your Eyes ya da The Look Of Love gibi albümler

English Version:
I have
been a fan of Diana Krall since her first album, and I was worried that she had
started to decline (raspy, airy vocals) with Quiet Nights. If you agreed with
me, cheer up. Diana Krall is back in a big (and maybe unexpected) way.
While
this album is a stylistic departure for Krall, it is so good to hear her voice
as it was prior to Quiet Nights. With Burnett, you can expect more of a roots
than jazz sound, but it really works. Although there are a few funky, up-tempo
songs such as "There Ain't No Sweet Man That's Worth The Salt Of My
Tears" and "I'm A Little Mixed Up", Krall's vocals shine through
on the earnest, slower songs such as "Here Lies Love","Glad Rag
Doll" and "Let It Rain" - I'm torn between these three as my
favorites from this album. If you are looking for the traditional Diana
Krall sound, give "I Used To Love You But It's All Over Now" a try.
Overall,
this is a nice change of pace for Diana Krall. Working with Burnett implies
making something different, and I think this is a great bounce back LP. While I
would love to hear something that rivals When I Look Into Your Eyes or The Look
Of Love, I am more than satisfied with Glad Rag Doll.
This
doesn't sound like Diana Krall's other recordings, but that doesn't make it bad
- just different. Listen to it with an open mind and enjoy the top-notch vocal
and instrumental performances.
I like
Diana Krall's trio recordings, but I also like to hear an artist try something
new. I really prefer this to some of the heavily orchestrated things she's done
in the past.Yes, please forget the old Diana Krall, she is brandnew Diana Krall here with her touch to 20s jazz .I highly recommend this album to old and new fans alike. Krall and
Burnett make a winning duo.
