Madeleine Peyroux - The Blue Room CD...

Madeleine Peyroux'Unun sesini hep sevmişimdir bana daima büyük ses Billie Holiday'i anımsatır. Bu albümde favori parçam "You Don't Know Me" ki bu albümde yer alan dört Ray Charles parçasından biri, Ray Charles bunu 51 yıl önce bir country albüm için kaydetmiş. Madeleine Peyroux ise parçayı kendine has eşsiz düzenlemeleriyle tam kendine ait hale getirmiş. Parçada harika bir trompet solo içermekte ki bu parçayı daha önce trompet sololu bir şekilde hiç duymamıştım, sadece 30 saniyelik bir solo ama parçaya çok şey katıyor. Peyroux ayrıca "Bye Bye Love" adlı parçayı da yeniden okumuş ki bu parçada yarattığı cazsal dokunuşu çok beğendim.Çok yumuşak ve rahatlatıcı, ki bu parçayı zamanında Ray Charles'ın da kaydettiğini öğrenmem şaşırtıcı oldu.

Ayrıca," Bird On A Wire" var ki parçanın sözlerini çok beğendim, parça cidden benimle konuşur gibi. "Changing All Those Changes" ise sanırım daha önce duymadığım tek Buddy Hooly parçası olsa gerek. Parça davranışta bir değişiklik yapıp gitmeyen bir ilişki sonrası youluna devam etmekle ilgili.Keyifli bir çalışma ve dinlemekten asla yorulmayacağım, beni rahatlatıyor.

Madelien Peyroux bir country klasiği olan " I Can't Stop Loving You" adlı çalışmayı blues tarzı bir aşk parçasına dönüştürmüş, onun bu parçayı yorumlayışını sevdim. Bana parçanın orijinalini unutturup kendi okuduğu şeklini sevdirdi. Bu parçada Larry Goldings org çalıyor ve sanırım onun orgu parçaya romantik bir ruh katıyor.

"Desperadoes Under the Eaves" ve "Guilty" alkol ve hapçılık gibi iki kötü alışkanlıkla savaşan imsanlarla ilgili parçalar."Desperadoes Under the Eaves" adlı çalışmada ki kişi halen içki ile savaşmakta, "Guilty" adlı çalışmada ise kişi kötü alışkanlığını yenip tekrar sevilen bir kişi olmaya çalışmakta, her iki parçada oldukça liriksel.

"The Blue Room" bence Madeleine Peyroux'unun "Careless Love" adlı albümünden bu yana yaptığı en iyi çalışma ve burada yine iyi parçaların her vaktin parçası olduğunu bizlere kanıtlamakta.

Albüm CD ve CD+DVD formatlarda basılmış, bu kez plak olarak basılmadı ki cidden plak olarak basılası bir çalışma ne yazık ki...

I love the voice of Madeleine Peyroux and it reminds me the voice of greta Billie Holiday always. My favorite track on this album is"You Don't Know Me". This is one of four songs by Ray Charles on this album. He recorded this song 51 years ago for a country album. Madeleine Peyroux makes this song her own with her unique musical arrangements. This song features beautiful trumpet playing. I have never this song with trumpet playing. It only plays for about thirty seconds, but it is sounds very special. Peyroux also covers the song "Bye Bye Love". I love her jazz rendition of this song. It sounds smooth and cool. I am surprised to learn that Ray Charles also recorded this song.

I also love the song "Bird On A Wire". I love the lyrics of the song.  This song really speaks to me. "Changing All Those Changes" is probably the only Buddy Holly song that I have never heard before. This song is about making a change in attitude and moving on after a relationship does not work out. This is a pleasant song. I will never get tired of listening to this song. It puts me in a good mood.

Madeleine Peyroux transforms the country classic love song "I Can't Stop Loving You" into a bluesy love song. I love her rendition of this song. She makes me forget the original and makes me love her version more. Larry Goldings plays the organ on this track. I think his playing gives this track a romantic uplifting tone.

"Desperadoes Under the Eaves" and "Guilty" are two songs about people struggling with addictions to alcohol and drugs. In "Desperadoes Under the Eaves", the person still seem to struggle with booze. In the song "Guilty", the person is trying to overcome addiction and return to a loved one. Both of these songs are very moving lyrically.

"The Blue Room" is Madelene Peyroux's best album since "Careless Love". Peyroux proves with this album that a great song is timeless. She also proves that a great song can also rise above one genre of music.

This album is available as CD and also CD+DVD format but unfortunately not available in vinyl format. However, it really deserve to be available in vinyl format too.
