In this review, our subject is the great Italian trumpeter Paolo Fresu and the album is titled "Night On The City". Fresu improved his-self with Italian jazz trumpet Enrico Rava's hand in the eighties, has since worked on various projects (his-self and others).
The quintet takes its name, but it works as a unit in which its 5 members bring their compositions to later interpret the style of the quintet. This group has been active for over 25 years, that is the reason for its perfect fit, its members are well Fresu on trumpet, Tino Tracanna on tenor and soprano saxophones, Roberto Cipelli on piano, Attilio Zanchi on bass and Hector Fioravanti on drums.
This album was recorded in one night the May 4, 1994 and only took two hours of recording. The disc as it says his name is inspired by the atmosphere of the city at night, the compositions are in charge of all the members of the quintet who bring issues individually or collectively, we will find topics about various personalities such as case of "Pour Un Femme" (dedicated to Chet Baker), of "Giulietta Degli Spiriti" (dedicated to Federico Fellini), from "to Gil" (dedicated to Gil Evans) and "Pezzo X" (dedicated to Miles Davis) . On this record we can see the obvious predilection Fresu by the styles of Miles Davis and Chet Baker, of which is faithful follower.
In addition, the nostalgic image of the night and the jazz is all the time, here also being the name of the album,which is a relaxing experience and all songs are original, super lyrical.
If you are not familiar to the name of Fresu, this is a big loss for you, as he is one of the best jazz trumpets and musicians. I suggest to get this album to hear the great talent.

Bu sefer sizlere büyük İtalyan trompetçi Paolo Fresu'yu ve Nigt On The City adlı albümünü tanıtmaya çalışacağım. Fresu İtalyan trompetçi Enrico Rava'nın kanatları altında seksenlerde kendini geliştirdi ve o zamandan bu yana kendi ve başkalarının projelerinde çalışmaktadır.
Sanatçını grubu ki kendi ismini taşımaktadır beşli bir mekanizma gibi yirmibeş yılı aşkın zamandır çalışmaktadır ki bu sebeple üyeler birbiritle muhteşem bir uyuma sahiptir. Üyeler trompette Fresu, Tino Tracana tenor ve soprano saksafon, Roberto Cipelli piyanao, Attilio Zanchi bas ve Hector Fioravanti davul.
